How do you remove bubble gum from your face and hair?

My 15 yr old son is having a friend over. They got into a bubble gum blowng contest that resulted in bubbles being popped onto each other's face and hair. When I stop laughing, I need to tell them how to get it off. Any tried and true suggestions? How do you remove bubble gum from your face and hair?
I won't go into detail you surely don't want to know about how I know this, but gum in the hair -- which I used to believe had to be cut out -- can be removed using peanut butter. Take big globs of peanut butter and rub it all over the gum. This can be washed out with shampoo and water. (Make sure you have your camera ready; excessive use of peanut butter in the hair can be a memory you want to save for prosperity!)
On the face, just wash with cold water and soap as with getting it out of their hair, this may seem weird, but peanut butter works wonders. Just take a spoonful of peanut butter and apply it to hair, you may need to use a wide tooth comb depending on the length of their hair. Then just rinse the peanut butter out with regular shampoo. How do you remove bubble gum from your face and hair?
Ok, I seem to be recommending peanut butter all over the place these days, but the truth is that the oils in peanut butter are really good at removing sticky stuff! If either has longish hair, pull back and secure any un-affected areas. With boys, this may not be a concern... Smear a good amount of peanut butter on the gummed area. Rub the gum between your thumb and fingers, working the peanut butter in to it. Eventually the gum will lose it's stickiness and you should be able to get it all out fairly easily. Of course, shampoo carefully afterward to make sure there are no remaining traces.
They had longish hair at the time and it was in there and on their faces, necks and so on.

so, we had 'em take a shower and wash well, using a washrag. That got it all off except for some of their hair. Their mom and I then helped them pick it out of their hair. Comb and tug. I got the bright idea of putting ice on their hair, and besides the "That's cold" screaming, it came right off, with a comb. Pretty cool. How do you remove bubble gum from your face and hair?
The oil in the peanut butter counteracts the bubble gum's stickiness. Might make the situation a little more fun, too! :) Sounds like you all are having a blast!
