How can I stop the little notification bubbles that pop up in the lower right hand corner of my computer.?

They always pop up, and it really gets on my nerves.

Example:



Internet Connected

Internet Disconnected

New Updates For Windows Vista

blah blah blah



Please help me....I couldn't find a question like this so I asked.
