Is it possible the Universe is like an expanding bubble?

For example when you blow liquid bubbles through hoops - and that we just live in a small space within this "bubble", and instead of their being a "Big Crunch" suggested by some, just like a bubble, it may "pop" so to speak? I'm not sure if such a theory already exists, I'm sure it most likely does so in that case - any information regarding the theories of the Universe would be greatly appreciated.

Astronomy isn't one of my strong points. Is it possible the Universe is like an expanding bubble?
There is no reason to believe the Universe will 'pop' but what you have said does contain a grain of truth. Modern theories posit that the visible Universe is perhaps one small patch on the surface of a larger multiverse, and the reason ours has the properties it does is because the specific values of the microphysical constants governing the scale and nature of all things in that Universe, e.g. the gravitational coupling fine structure constant, Boltzmann's constant, etc... make possible our very existence as carbonaceous observers, i.e. these constants induce a selection effect on what we could hope to observe because if these values were very different, we could not exist as observers (because the fine structure constant requires a very specific value, approximately 1/137, for the stable carbon atom to exist). Since Suskind's Landscape theory predicts approximately 10^500 different configurations of these parameters (each with an associated Calabi-Yau space topology), it stretches credulity that our visible Universe is the only one! And yet, we have no way at present of testing any of this!! So you see, you are an intuitive genius and now all you have to do is buttress it with the appropriate studies in physics and mathematics.
All the matter in the universe that we can see, such as stars and galaxies appear to be moving away. We know this because of something called dopler red shift. The light from distant objects appears to have more red light in it than would be expected. We think this is because the object is moving away and stretching out the light making it appear more red. You can also hear dopler shift when a fire engine passes at speed. Since everything appears to be moving away from everything else we can imagine a time when everything must have been together at some time in the past. This is the point of the big bang.Is it possible the Universe is like an expanding bubble?
yes,the universe is going on expanding due to decrease in gravity of the bodies in space.as the gravity decreases the attraction between two bodies decrease.due to that the bodies in the space are moving away from each other and distance between is increased and the size of universe is expanding.
Yes, it's possible that our universe is a "bubble" universe, one of many.

Most likely the universe will expand forever. There won't be any "popping" because there is no soap film covering the universe.
Possibly, but it's probably not going to pop.
