Everyone pops bubble wrap.. but why is it so addicting. I mean, toys and iPod apps are even made to mimic popping bubble wrap (although its not the same as real bubble wrap). Is there some weird physiological reason, or is it just.. plain stupid fun.Why is popping bubble wrap so entertaining?

The ability to crush the life out of something without really destroying anything of value. The power of exerting force and the feeling of accomplishment when the entire sheet is flattened.

its similar to liking the sound of crushing leaves..the sound goes through you and you enjoy it...Its fun
not necessarily plain stupid. (well, yeah kinda) its just something that entertains everyone. I love playing with bubble wrap because I luv hearing the sound of it and I love popping all of the bubbles and searching for the ones that have not been popped yet :-)

I'm not sure what it is about it; but you now what; just the other day this toy commercial came on and guess what it was for?
Bubble wrap that doesn't go flat! I'm serious too! I forget what they called it, but it was just a small square of bubble wrap, that when you pressed it, it would make the noise, and than rebound so you could re-use it!
So weird...:P
