Maybe its the mindless factor, the satisfaction of doing a repititious task without really having to think about it. Or maybe its a way of getting out a thousand little aggressions, with each pop of a bubble another tiny trouble vanishes. Or maybe its just goofy fun!
This is one of the greatest zen questions of all time.

its like your breaking each bubbles virginity with every pop! pop! pop! oh yea!!!!
There is evidence that points to the mild compulsion for a pinching and squeezing syndrome that makes it seem so good to do.

Like seeing a baby and wanting to pinch its cheeks sooo badly, or picking at a scab until it peels or bleeds, popping bubble wrap has a soothing effect on our minds. In the psychological world, the syndrome called dermatillomania is a need to pick and squeeze at one's skin, even to the point of damage, for comfort and soothing. Strange as it may seem, we might find comfort in squeezing bubblewrap in the same way.

I'd stick to bubblewrap if I were you!

It is sooo much fun!! I could do it all day too! I think maybe it's a way to take out your hostilities without actually harming anyone or anything. Or maybe just for the sheer fun of it...
I know exactly what you mean, I could pop bubble wrap all day too! No idea why it's so satisfying.. it just is.
i dont think i can do it all day.. but well yeah its really really fun and fullfilling and satisfying... in a weird way,... hmmmm

i really dont know whats so satisfying abt popping some bubbles. and it bothers me when there r no multiple pops left.
don't know if it is the sound or not, but i think everyone loves to do that....Are you bored ?
i dont know why but i like it too.
It's addictive.
it helps relieve stress! Makes you feel like if you were punching a punching bag but more fun!
Because our mommys %26amp; daddys spent our whole childhood teaching us not to make unnecessary noise or to ruin useful things.



Popping bubble wrap is BOTH, and it's the BEST.



I'm a BIG bubble guy myself, all about the volume, although I find the small ones to be very pleasing as well.....
I think it's embedded in our genetic code.

I UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE BUBBLE WRAP BUT YOU SHOULD GET SOME BONGOS THROUGH EBAY: WAY MORE SATISFYING.
It's just fun to pop the bubbles. lol.
The way it feels...squishy and tight. The way it sounds.

Knowing that a bubble can only pop once..and you popped it...makes you feel special.
