Why do we pop the bubbles on bubble wrap?

the invisible "pops" that live inside the bubbles have psychic powers and use them to compel weak minded people to waste endless hours rescuing them one by one.

This is really a bad thing to do because the pops have been imprisoned in the bubble wrap to keep them from getting out and infesting your underwear with stains. Why do we pop the bubbles on bubble wrap?
Source - Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_Wrap#Amusement

Because Bubble Wrap makes a recognizable "popping" sound when compressed and punctured, it can be used as a source of amusement and to alleviate stress. Acknowledging this alternative use, some websites provide a "virtual bubble wrap" program which displays a sheet of bubble wrap that users may "pop" by clicking on the bubbles.[2]

"Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day" is celebrated[3] on the last Monday of January.[4]Why do we pop the bubbles on bubble wrap?
Because it's fun and addicting.

Chinese bubble gum pop?

ok i heard a song last friday. very annoying high pitched happy hyper bubble gum pop stuff. made my ears wanna bleed. sounded like asian girls singin but it could've also easily been scary cheerleaders. i didn't catch the name of the band or song but it's been stuck in my head since and i have to get it out. the only way i can do so is to listen to it again and get over it. does anyone have any idea who it could've been? thanksChinese bubble gum pop?
be more specific. lots of songs are high pitched and sound asian. i might be able to help you since i know lots of asian music. be specific, like do you remember what some lyrics were, if there were any. just simple things like that since you're not being specific enough.

Keep Getting "Optimal Resolution" bubble popping up. How do I stop it?

I have an ASUS U30J with a Windows 7 platform. Every time I use it a bubble pops up out of the right side of the taskbar saying that the computer is not using its optimal resolution, which it says should be 1366 x 768. The thing is, it IS on that resolution. This bubble pops up repeatedly when the computer is on. What can I do to stop it?Keep Getting "Optimal Resolution" bubble popping up. How do I stop it?
This tends to be a simple lag issue, coming out of a program or game that doesnt support your full screen resolution. No worries, as soon as you see that bubble, it actually means your screen is back to normal at its 1366x768 resolution, I've had it happen to me several times exiting out of the game: GTA San Andreas... and when i go to check the setting for optimizing the screen res to 1366x768 it is already set to that... I've got the same laptop, so hope this gives you an idea of what is goin on..

  • IS HEALTH CARE THE LAST BUBBLE TO POP? No one care fix health care unless you ration care.?

President Obama is on the right track. The masses will have rationed health care while the rich and politically connected will have the other option. The middle and poor health care will be one size fits all this way you control costs. We need to reduce the age of the population. People that live to long are a drag on the economy. Once you stop paying taxes and draw benefits it's time to check out I guess.IS HEALTH CARE THE LAST BUBBLE TO POP? No one care fix health care unless you ration care.?
The young and the middle aged aught to remember that they will be in a rocking chair one day, so it is their own future they are talking about.

Are we human beings, or sadistic beasts.

If we can't be caring towards the poor the sick and the aged, then we don't deserve to be called human beings.

The rich may feel secure in their wealth, but remember, Babylon felt secure in her strength and what happened to her.
Yes.. let's ignore the simple fix that would cut 15-25% of the costs.

TORT REFORM!!IS HEALTH CARE THE LAST BUBBLE TO POP? No one care fix health care unless you ration care.?
The "HEALTH CARE BUBBLE!!" is a load of fear mongering garbage that obama and his lackeys have been using to scare us into doing what they want.
News flash: we already have rationed health care. Right now it's rationed by insurance companies. And they are skimming off 20% administrative overhead.

News flash: we already pay for heath care for the poor. Hospital emergency rooms are required by law to treat anyone who comes through their door. This loses money (ER care is among the most expensive) so the hospitals charge all the other patients to pay for the indigent ER patients. This is the status quo that needs to change.

News flash: A number of states already have "caps and tort reform" and the insurance companies have not lowered the cost of malpractice insurance. However, including legal fees, insurance costs, and payouts, the cost of the suits comes to less than 1.5 percent of health-care spending. See http://www.insurance-reform.org/pr/AIRhe鈥?/a> and http://makethemaccountable.com/myth/Risi鈥?/a>IS HEALTH CARE THE LAST BUBBLE TO POP? No one care fix health care unless you ration care.?
American doctors should never kill people for money. Try something different.

From a purely economic standpoint, it's evil. Those people contributed all their lives for us to have what we have now.
lots of much easier ways to lower the cost of health care, but they arent politically popular.

Start with tort reform. AMA estimates that 30% of all procedures are defensive, to protect against lawsuits.

Change so that punitive damages do not go to injured person and lawyer, they get the compensatory damages, but a central fund to pay for Health Care.

Give patients an interest in cost. If Health insurance required patient to pay first 10 or 15% of each procedure, patients might start saying - nope dont need that test or the fourth follow-up visit.

There - we cut costs about 40%, enough to cover all uninsured.

When is that stupid housing bubble going to pop already?

There's no way I could afford to ever buy a house in this insane world. When is that stupid housing bubble going to pop already?
Ah yes, the Realtors are telling us there is no bubble and that now is a great time to buy. Funny how you never hear a salesperson tell you it's a bad time to buy.

To all the people who think there is no bubble, that things are "in balance" after increasing 100% or more then declining less than 10%, I refer you to some the excellent data analysis performed at the links below for the southern california market. This site not only provides convincing data showning the enormity of the bubble, but also shows the logical fallacies that so many housing bulls fall prey to.

If you don't want to take the time to go to the site, just use some common sense.

-How do people buy houses? With money from their jobs, of course. So housing cannot outrun inflation over the long-term, because house prices are interlinked with incomes (which dictate inflation). Research clearly shows that houses, over the long haul, appreciate barely above inflation (do a Google search for the study in Amsterdam that compared housing prices and inflation over about 400 years of record).

-There's no such thing as a free lunch. Nuf said. Money can't just "appear" out of nowhere, but that is what it has done TEMPORARILY for homeowners. They are in denial if they think the day they have to give back that money they didn't earn isn't around the corner.
There is no bubble that is going to pop. Do you really think housing prices are going to drop some ridiculous amount like 100k? The market has cooled, but it will never go back top where it was, and the people waiting for it are foolish. Now is a great time to buy. It is a buyers market, and you should be able to negotiate yourself a good purchase price. If you keep waiting you will be a renter forever. You have about as much of a chance as gas going back to 98 cents a gal. Notice gas went high, but only came down a little. Home prices will be the same way.

    I wish you luck.

It's coming, dude. Check out this article: http://www.thestreet.com/_tsccom/newsanalysis/investing/10337747.html

Remember though, that housing markets are regional, and also local, so not everwhere will pop, just like not everywhere has bubbled.
What bubble? Where? What are you talking about.

House prices are stabilizing and if you are waiting for a decrease dramatically then don't hold your breath. Too much has been invested and you should either buy now before they climb again or just be happy renting and making someone else rich. When is that stupid housing bubble going to pop already?
Hopefully it won't. A lot of people have invested their lives savings in real estate due to the simply fact that no one is making any more of it.

Housing never goes down in value it just keeps going up. I purchased a home almost 3-years ago and it has gone up almost 50% in value since then.
This world is not that bad where are you located? What type of house are you looking for? There are mortgages to fit the needs of every person. If you want the lowest possible payment for 10 years interest only or pick a payment. you never know what is out there. The bubble will not pop soon if ever. People need there house to be worth something. If not then the only investment that separates people for others no long holds true to its conception. a car can only mod to a certain level a house can be chopped down and re built still be the same house just a different feel.
OH the bubble, that is the million dollar question. As a long time real estate agent there are a few points I would like to make. Now is the time to buy, not later. The market has taken a 6% decrease from july 06 to now. And it is starting to level off now. But the upcoming buying season is coming up. If you plan to purchase do it now or wait until after the summer. Most homes are purchased during this period. After the summer is over the builders will check their inventory and should be coming up with incenctives to move the product. The incentives will not be coming out now because they are planning to have a normal summer sales season. Also the people who have to sell this summer and don't will be desperate come September. Buyers are a premium right now so remember that. I read a few other answers and by no means should you play the mortgage game and get an interest only loan or arm. Doing an 80-20 loan would be a much better idea. The bank will make you 2 loans the 80% loan will be a normal rate but the 20% loan will be 3-4 points higher than that. The advantage is you don't pay PMI which is not tax deductable. The payment will be almost the same though. The mortgage person will tell you about the law just passed that says you can deduct PMI from your taxes, the catch is that it is only for the tax year 07. They are going to try and make it perminate, we will see. Mortgage people are commissioned so remember that and shop around. The people who did all the crazy mortgages are starting to default now, so check your foreclosure's in your area. There is no way you can afford not to buy a house in this insane world. Because you already have, just for somebody else. The landlord is getting the equity, not you so you can't afford to do that forever or you will never get ahead of the game. You need to put yourself on the property ladder. Your first home will not be exactly what you want by any means. But the sweat equity you will build in that home will help you purchase the one you really want in 3 years. Everyone starts out the same way so comprimise a little and become a home owner. I wish you luck on your home adventure, Pat
Your not the only one. Hang in there.

I could easily see prices declining for the next two years in most major cities.

The fact is that the prices will not last so long as people do not go into over-inflated mortgages. Those that do will put themselves into default very quickly. Statistics are very clear in telling us that the majority of the population that lives in southern CA for example, can not afford a median payment based on the current sale prices. Current salaries simply do not meet those required to make those high housing payments.

Then you have the boomers, who are going to start selling soon so they can leave behind the empty nest and retire to warmer weather.

Within the next 3-5 years, housing prices will stabilize back to norms. They will not crash, however. There are companies funding accounts right now to buy low if the market starts to crash. That will stabilize a portion of the market.
well, you must be in my neck of the woods where prices seem unreasonably high, but I'm sorry for you (happy for me as a homeowner) that it's not going to pop in my professional opinion. You will see fluctuations in the market, but as far as a drop--you've just seen it...after more than 100% increase in the past few years, we had a dip of about 10%, and it's climbing again. That being said, you'd be surprised what you can do to afford a house, if it's important enough to you...and there are homes outside of the major cities where homes are actually still affordable...The 15 acres next to my parents farm in Minnesota just sold with a house attached for 40K...(house wasn't great, but is still standing)

Over time, history bears out that clean-title, non-marsh real estate has basically ALWAYS been a good investment--even when the market seems high...over time it will still go higher (maybe over a long time, but always...) The thing is...land is one thing there just not building a lot more of these days--it's a limited commodity.

Good luck to you...check out alternative loan programs...20% down isn't the rule anymore...

ADDED: I sometimes laugh (sometimes want to cry) when I see real estate specialists give mortgage advice, because so often it's wrong...and spoken with such authority. Interest only loans are not the enemy...using them to buy a home out of your price range is the enemy, likewise alternative loan programs like option arms and other arms are in SOME cases the very best thing you can do.

As my realtor friend below stated, mortgage people are almost all paid on commission (much lower commissions than the real estate side of things, by the way-I usually make less than 1.5% total of the loan amount (not purchase price, loan amount on my loan transactions)...it does make sense that you should shop for the most trustworthy, best educated loan officer/broker you can find for a reasonable rate--as well you should look for the best realtor you can find (make us earn our percentage points...we are there to represent you.) But get your financial advice from financial experts...and check what your mortgage broker/loan officer has to say with your financial advisor or tax preparer (if you have one of those two--sometimes there's a method to our madness that not all real estate agents will understand unless they specialize in the financial markets as well.

One thing I wish first time homebuyers would grasp...your first home does NOT have to be your dream home, just a way into the market.

OK, now to what my other (colleague?) said below...it's true that the median priced home is outside of the price range for most first time homebuyers in CA...but the fact is if that's the median price home, there are lower priced homes--and there are people who are making it work with homebuyer assistance programs, co-owners, 2nd jobs, givng up their Starbucks, etc. (Think about NY where people rent out rooms and basements like crazy...it can be done, and a lot of garages have tenants in them in California. People say that years ago the housing values crept up like this and then crashed down in California, and they're waiting for that to happen again, however the economic picture of California has changed since then. We don't have single-employer areas the way we did in the 1980s with the airline industry...the economy is much broader, the jobs are more diverse. The only thing in my opinion that would really bring a major crash is if our government really did work to remove the illegal immigrant population, which would then leave us with a surplus of housing...but as of right now, that doesn't look very hopeful, and with a possible amnesty program in the works, there's another group of potential homeowners lining up who are not ashamed to with 3 families in a single familiy house to get themselves into the housing market... So I guess if you think that deportations are right around the corner, hold off on the purchase...

Our friend is right, money doesn't appear from nowhere, but it does get funneled into the things that people consider important. I've seen apartment dwellers driving Beamers...while this homeowner drives a paid off 1999 corolla CE...(not a glamour car, but my gas mileage is good, and it's soooo reliable). I've seen "poor" people eating out at the restaurants my husband and I drive past to our kitchen. I've seen people who "can't afford" to get into housing purchasing the newest iPods, mortorcycles, vacations, designer clothing, cable TV, and all other types of like "necessities"...

Look, real estate is a big purchase, and you do have to plan for it...but people do make it work...and if you can't make it work in your area, look in another area...but sit with some financial specialists and have them take the time to evaluate your full situation before you either build up or give up hope.

Is the housing bubble ever going to pop or am I stuck buying an overvalued home?

That depends a lot on where you want to live. Here in Southern CA, I don't think it will. First of all, LA %26amp; San Diego are slowing due to the latest fed hike in interest rates. But, because the demand is so much larger than the supply, the pressure for new, affordable homes is still strong. Unfortunately, with the median price of a home at around $550,000, the income necessary to support monthly mortgage payments is above what most in the middle class make right now.

But, you are starting to see some slowing and stagnation in less desirable markets. That is where "the bubble" will burst, first. Places like Cleveland, Louisville, Nashville, St. Louis, etc. Watch as the interest rates go up, more houses will dump on the market because people with variable rates cannot afford the increases monthly. Is the housing bubble ever going to pop or am I stuck buying an overvalued home?
Unless you live in one of the hyperinflated speculative markets, don't expect a quick pop. Tokyo is still falling after 15 years. But as inventory rises, you'll be in a better bargaining position. Don't worry about median price, you just need to get one seller down!

eskie lover is giving misleading advise that can be finanacially disastarous. Prices all over Southern California are on a slide since last 10 months. Eskie like any other Realtor is acting like a 'cheer leader' for the housing market for personal gains.

Is the housing bubble ever going to pop or am I stuck buying an overvalued home?
Your house probably has its valuation done by a qualified valuer n shouldn't be too far off its mark. Prices may be depressed or decline somewhat esp when supply exceeds demand. In the long run it'll always go up, up and up. Don't be cowed by real estate jargon like housing bubble, etc. The influences of intermittent and very short term bubbles will not be able to withstand the long term inclination for property prices to rise. Even the great depression of the 30's cannot prevent this upward trend.
You are asking a loaded question. In the next ten years there will be 76,000,000 people retiring, that alone will shift much of life as we know it. Real estate may peter out as baby boomers sell their big homes for smaller ones. Stocks may not do so well with less people working. Commerce (GNP) will slow as there are less buying dollars. Foreign powers will gain strength, economic and political.

They pour the hot liquid for the lolipop on top of the bubble gum. Then it hardens and you have a blow pop.
    they don't.

    there really is no gum.

it's all in your head. How do they get the bubble gum in the blow pop?
they put the gum on top of the pop
they start off by putting the gum on the stick, and then slowly roll the gum in a liquid candy stuff, and just keep rolling it as each layer dries... and thats how you get the blow pop.
It's probably best to believe that they surround the gum with the pop.
first they make the pop, the, the open it up in the middle, the they put the gum in, then, they stick it right back...
probly with a machine, or maybe the but the gum on the stick then put the pop around it ( :

    Keep in mind...........

    Times and markets are changing!

In California with average homes selling well over $500,000, a 20% decline is $100,000! In any market 'timing is everything'! So, could you afford a loss of 25% of your investment all because of poor timing???

This last up cycle was 10 years in many parts of the country. The downcycle now started in CA, Wash DC, NYC, Vegas and other hot areas of the past are all soft and getting softer.

From 1990 to 1996, the average home in San Diego lost 20% of its' value! The cycle we are now enterng looks like it could well exceed that on the downside!

With all the 100% financing, interest only loans, EZ qualifing etc...even a slight decline will cause many to be unable to sell for the amount due on their loans!

It won't. It's not a bubble, it will just fluchuate back to the right prices, where they will adjust to where people can afford them. Depending on where you live and in terms of the economy, that's how house pricing is done. What will happen if the real estate "bubble" pops.?
The person who paid $250,000 for a home will now have a home that can only be sold for $100,000.

People will owe more on their home than what they will make selling the home.

It think the demand for homes will decrease and with that the amount of money people are willing to pay for a home will decrease. People will not be able to make a killing by 'flipping' houses (buying and selling to make a profit.)

I have seen it in the area where I currently live. For a long time, people were frantic to buy a house because the market was so hot and they paid hundreds of thousands for a 'shack'. Now, the home sales are declining (just a bit) and the shack that sold for $200,000 will no longer sell for that much.
The real estate market runs in cycles, always has and always will. Sometimes it's up and sometimes it's down, but it always returns either way. Lucky for me, I live just outside of DC so there are plenty of jobs and always a huge demand for housing, so this so called bubble won't effect my business.

When playing with bubble wrap, do you have to pop every single bubble or are you able to walk away?

Can't stop until it's done. I think it's a law somewhere that you have to pop them all. When playing with bubble wrap, do you have to pop every single bubble or are you able to walk away?
I cannot walk away, i have to finish it myself. If i have to leave, i will hide it so no one else gets it. I want to do it all by myself. When i am done, i call my mom or x-girlfriend and tell them what i did, and they tell me how proud they are of me.

What's the fluid under a blister? What happens if I pop it? What happens if I were to leave it as a bubble?

I have a blister on the left side of my right forefinger from playing the drums...I know it's a friction thing because i've had them before but i've never really wondered whats beneath them. What's the fluid under a blister? What happens if I pop it? What happens if I were to leave it as a bubble?
Whenever you have a blister, you should leave the bubble over it. This protects the skin underneath from getting infected.
    a: Puss

b: the puss leaks out and you feel better.

c: it'd hurt..it'd eventually go away..What's the fluid under a blister? What happens if I pop it? What happens if I were to leave it as a bubble?
thanks for giving me my first nausea of the day!
i am not sure what the fluid is but if you pop it the fluid will leak out and you will be left with an open sore and it will be easier for it to get infected. if you leave it alone it will eventually just go away,What's the fluid under a blister? What happens if I pop it? What happens if I were to leave it as a bubble?
It's filled with pus. Don't pop it cause it could get infected. Let it go.
good question...i cant remember what the actual fluid is, but i do know that you should not pop them bc of risk of infection. the best thing to do is just put a bandaid over it until the fluid is reabsorbed back into your body. it should only take a day or two. i'll get back to you when i find out what the actual fluid is.

    edit:

i posted a link on the treatment of blisters
The best thing to do with a blister is to let it be.

A blister is caused by excess friction. (Like you stated) and like most things on your body, it will only heal over time. If you pop it, it will hurt because you're exposing new skin. This might also lead to infection if it is deep enough
It's water. If it were puss, it would be a pimple. Take a thin pin and pop it, it will relieve the pressure. The prick will hurt, but the pain will stop. Wash it thoroughly, and put some antibiotic cream on it, and leave it open! It will dry out in a couple days (keep your hands clean) and the top will fall off, but the skin under it will be a little tougher. You shouldn't get too many more blisters. This is the way the body creates a callouse (tough skin)
I dont know what it is, but I do know, from experience, dont pop it. If the skin comes off that friction "burn" it'll be sooooo sensitive. It will basicly be an open would, suscceptable to infection, scabbing, scarring...it could get ugly.

I think its your body building a 'band aid' of sorts, to protect that area from being rubbed on, the friction, the burn. It uses a layer of your skin to make a band aid, then puts liquid in there to keep it moist and clean.

Leave the blister alone, but if you can't resist, poke it with a sterile needle, push the fluid out-it will be a little flat, then put on a band aid. Dont pick at it-it may scab up anyway if you drain it.

If you want to drum, put on a band aid or a terry cloth wristband to protect and prevent them in the future.
All the fluid is is just a build up of sweat under the surface of the skin. If you pop it nothing bad will happen but it may sting for a few days. If you leave it alone one of two things will happen: either it will pop on its own or it the fluid will actually get reabsorbed into you tissue.

How can you say how a beaker with popped bubble wrap will cool down quicker than beaker with unpopped wrap?

One beaker had unpopped bubble wrap and one had popped bubble wrap.

The popped bubble wrap cooled down the quickest because the temperature was dropping the most.

But how can I describe the conclusion and how the one with popped bubble wrap cooled down the quickest? How can you say how a beaker with popped bubble wrap will cool down quicker than beaker with unpopped wrap?
The heat from the water convects into the air inside the bubble wrap, and is held there for a while, until the water temperature cools down to below that of the air in the bubble wrap, then the heat radiates from the air in the bubble wrap, back out into the water, (note; hot always moves towards cold, second law of thermodynamics), and then convection occurs, which is the heat that has gone into the water from the bubble wrap is rising up through the water, causes the water to move and the motion of the water moving, first up, which displaces the water next to it 'downwards' then the water circulates , it moves across the surface and then back down and then across the bottom of the beaker and then back up again, and so on and so on, around in circles, circulating, this circulation that normally begins with heat rising is 'convection'.How can you say how a beaker with popped bubble wrap will cool down quicker than beaker with unpopped wrap?
The one with the unpopped bubble wrap essentially has a trapped layer of air around it which acts as an insulator. This means there is more resistance for heat to pass out of the beaker to the surroundings. The one with popped bubble wrap is just a thin layer of plastic that doesn't provide much resistance so it cools down quickly.

If a girl tries to kiss you, but you don't want to kiss her back, is it okay to pop a gum bubble in her face?

The neighbor girl leaned in to kiss me today, but I did not want to kiss her back. I was chewing some gum; so, I quickly blew a bubble and popped it right in her face. Do you think that she got the hint? She picked some of the gum off of her face; then she just sort of laughed and then kept complimenting me about weird things that I don't deserve compliments on...

Should I keep a package of gum in my pocket so that I can take a piece out every time I see her just in case she tries this again? If a girl tries to kiss you, but you don't want to kiss her back, is it okay to pop a gum bubble in her face?
i'm guessing either that you are really hot or that this is the same neighbor that takes pictures of you when you are sleeping and compliments you on your bad techno singing voice. i believe that the better thing to have done would have been to fake a stroke, but i dont think that it was that bad because maybe she wanted somthing to remember you by, some ABC gum, good luck with your crazy neighbor, NEXT TIME FAKE A STROKE! or death.
Hey!your so funny indeed!well, its okey but at least you have to respect her.just go away from her so that she won't be near to kiss you!If a girl tries to kiss you, but you don't want to kiss her back, is it okay to pop a gum bubble in her face?
No dude that is just rude. Just be a man and tell her. GROW UP !!!!!!
hahahhahahaha!!!! nice!!!!! glad it worked...id keep doing itIf a girl tries to kiss you, but you don't want to kiss her back, is it okay to pop a gum bubble in her face?
Nah dude, don't be rude about it. Just turn your head and give her your cheek, that should get the message across.
I must admit this is rather humerous, but apparently effective.
just tell her your feelings, so u don't have to waste gum.
thats funny!!!!! i dont kno if she got the point...i guess it depends on whether shes dense or not....just tell her u dont want to kiss her next time, if she doesnt get the point THEN pop a bubble in her face
that's a nice way to stop her from kissing you but a better way is if you just turn your face so she misses and kisses your cheek instead. then you won't have to kiss her back and in the end she still got to kiss you...just not on the lips. =D
no, accept her making out wit u, she luvs u
Kolya, this is very rude. Just as general etiquette guideline.

There are other ways of signaling that you don't want to be kissed. Usually, girls undestand the hints very well.

It is possible that she's quite annyoying and doesn't understand the hints. Just tell her that you don't want kisses. This way, you are not stooping to her level, if, in fact, she doesn't get the hints.
probably not that will most likely embarass the heck out of her just like act like you didnt see her trying to or something and walk away or try and talk to someone thats around the two of you
    your funny that was good.
    nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    just injoy it bro!
    Verrrrry funny

Try some garlic cloves in your pocket for that special moment.
That's quite disgusting. You should just tell her you don't want to kiss her.
Look folks, a frigid guy, somebody take a picture.

No, it's not ok to pop gum in her face.
Ordinarily, I would have said no; however, since she laughed about it, it's okay. You mention that you were complimented for things that you don't deserve to be complimented on. Remember, that is only your opinion. Perhaps, they truly are things that are complimentary of you! Though I know you won't admit it; you were flirting back. The proof is, if you didn't want to be kissed you could have simply stepped back as the fence would have stopped her. You see....I'm right! The gum bubble was mischievous flirting! You've been caught in a little fib, and really enjoyed it! Try to deny it......but I know how men are; or rather boys that is.... ;-)
Wouldn't it be easier to just tell her you are not interested in her!!
Yes, that might be a good idea. However there are two possible outcomes you need to be careful of. If you POP the gum in an enclosed space as she might mistake the pop of the gum for a gunshot and then you might be accused of attempted murder! The second outcome is that she might see gum popping as a sign of affection, because any attention is better than no attention from the object of her desire and you may recieve further unwanted attention from her. Once again, my friend Good luck!
    ha lol your funny

    do what makes you happy
that act was sooo f. rude... instead why dont u kiss her back on the cheek or fore head ?
I am not sure - what I do know is I miss your picture on here!
Lucky she didn't slap or spit in your face, dude.

You were NOT cool, little dude, and most likely you'll be

the only cat in school who doesn't get a date to the prom.

Be a winner, man, lose the gum!
Good move! I think you've got something going. I don't think she is going to try and kiss you again, though. She probably got the hint.
I'm glad she laughed this time(but it was probably because she was embarrassed), she most likely doesn't want to try again, but if she does, I'd tell her really, really gently how you feel. You don't want to lose a great friend over it!!!
    you are gooddd....
LoL!!!don't waste your gum, just tell her your feelings!
haha thats kinda funny LMAO ya u should definetly keep some with u
that's one way to get the message across
Are Indian girls that forward now? Last time I was in India, all the young girls seemed so shy. Or was she an American or Canadian or something.

No, it's unsanitary. And gross. And if it got in her hair, it'd be a real mess. Maybe it worked, but it's gross.

Is it true Hyuna's 'Bubble Pop' got banned in Korea?

which part specifically got it banned? Or was it everything in the video? Is the video banned and the song isn't?Is it true Hyuna's 'Bubble Pop' got banned in Korea?
I don't think that the video was blocked, but all promotions were banned because the dance and stuff were too 'sexually suggestive'. And i suppose, they kinda were. But nowadays, that's almost every kpop girl group...
I don't think the mv and stuff or the song just her performing it or maybe it's already temporary. The part where she bends down with her hooker heels and booty shorts and comes back up was deemed inappropriate along with some other parts. Is it true Hyuna's 'Bubble Pop' got banned in Korea?
Its not banned, her promotion for it ended early because the video, clothes and lyrics were deemed too suggestive by the KCC.

  • What caused Japan's real estate bubble in the 80's to pop?

Did it have something to do with people buying in the market not being able to afford it?

Thanks! What caused Japan's real estate bubble in the 80's to pop?
Japan's real estate bubble was created by overheated investment. And the collapse of the bubble was triggered by a tight-money policy initiated by the Bank of Japan.

In the 80's, land prices kept rising because companies and wealthy individuals made a lot of investment in land, instigated by a firm (and wrong) belief that land prices would never fall because of the strong economy. As a result, land prices were raised so high that ordinary people could not afford a house (The aggregate value of land in the central part of Tokyo was once equivalent to that of the whole US!). To address this problem, the Bank of Japan decided to adopt a tight-money policy at the beginning of the 90's in spite of the fact that the economy was already beginning to show a sign of downtrend.

This switch in monetary policy caused the already overly swollen real estate bubble to pop and exacerbated Japan's whole economy for the next decade, which was later dubbed "the lost decade."

What caused Japan's real estate bubble in the 80's to pop?

Did it have something to do with people buying in the market not being able to afford it?

Thanks! What caused Japan's real estate bubble in the 80's to pop?
Capitalism allow marginal buying for speculation with self risk-taking. People very greedy those days wanted to gain too much return in short term. Banks supported them. Government too.

Then once realized people that tulip bulb is just bulb, too much unpaid loan were left as the asset worth evaluated to re-investigate were almost just only too overrated. Stock market fallen down rapidly also triggered off the tragedy. They went over across the point of no return.

Japanese used to believe a sort of myth that real estate worth will never fall down because of too limited land there but it was just misunderstanding. Surplus liquid capital happened in Japanese industry, capitalists, banks and/or some more foreign speculators originally scheduled to purchase American goods importing to Japan but they didn't do that.

They knew it was not profitable and, iInstead, purchased real estate, stocks in Japan much much more over and over again.

Then, once one of them burnt out to tightrope ride and gave up their playing old Maid card game on the bubbled tower top, everything turned out. The players rushed to the stairs fell down one on top another. Everything was in vain. Their tremendous assets were just illusion. What caused Japan's real estate bubble in the 80's to pop?
All bubbles collapse sooner or later. During economic bubble in late 80s, people spent a lot of money on stock and real estate. As a result, stock and real estate prices in Japan skyrocketed.

But those prices can't keep soaring forever as people can't keep spending money forever. It would collapse when it reaches to the limit of speculative buying.

The direct cause, or one of the causes, was the policy of the Japanese government at the beginning of 1990 to regulate proportion of bank loans on real estate.

Then, from January 1990, stock and real estate prices began falling rapidly.

Why does mainstream rap sound like bubble gum pop music now?

lol @ mc masturbator answering the most simple questions and acting like he knows something about rap.Why does mainstream rap sound like bubble gum pop music now?
Cause all these fags these days like pop music. The rappers that used to GO HARD have to make pop music cause it sells and they want mo money$. I'm getting sick of it, though. I want sum real rap like there used to be. Try listening to Jeezy: He's never went pop cause he's REAL! Rick Ross is real, Lil Wayne does some pop but he always follows it up with something like "Tunechi's Back" and "I'm Rollin'" to stay in touch with the streets.
because the game has evolved. You cant expect all rappers to talk about how much coke they sold or about the times they got shot at? Look at it like the NBA slam dunk contest. The greatest of all time already done every dunk imaginable. It's hard to wow cause every thing has been done before. Why does mainstream rap sound like bubble gum pop music now?

    here's it.

put a few drops of warm water into the effect ear. if it dosen't work, add a few more drops.

then tilt your head so that the affected ear stays up then invert it.

you should feel a warm sensation when it's done.
@smontague99 - very nice, it worked for me.

I have this water bubble in my ear after my bath and it won't go pop. What should i do to fix it?
First off, when the last time you have your ear clean from ear wax? If the ear is cleaner, the water bubble are faster to pop and exit.

To clean your ear, rinse with mixture of hydrogen peroxide and warm water. Your face will be sensitive.

If you use cotton swab then handle with care. Don't go too far or you will rupture your ear drum.
Tiltyour head to whatever side the bubble is on, pull the bottom of the ear, stand on one foot and hop up and down. May sound dumb but it works.I have this water bubble in my ear after my bath and it won't go pop. What should i do to fix it?
hold your nose and blow....so it pops
You can put a couple drops of rubbing alcohol in the affected ear; it is a drying agent and helps facilitate the drainage of the water from your ear. Put your head down, with the affected ear up. Place a couple drops of alcohol into the ear canal. Let sit for a couple minutes, then tilt your head to the other side and let the alcohol drain out.

Guys, particularly in their adolescent years, have a tendency to start experimenting with the opposite sex by touching girls to see how they react. It may be innocuous at first -- something like patting a girl on the shoulder or back, maybe even coming up from behind and trying to give them an unsolicited neck or shoulder rub -- but it's also similar to what sharks may do in nudging their prey with their noses at first to see how the potential victim may react. Adolescent dudes can be horn dogs so they like to test girls to see how close they can get before she beats them away or orders them to stop.

As adolescents mature, though, they find this kind of personal touching is less accepted. It's rude. Shaking hands is fine but this sneaking up and trying to start an unsolicited back rub on someone is not cool anymore. It's juvenile and adults learn that is not the way to approach someone.

When it comes to hugging, adults usually ask first before they do it. That is really getting into someone's private space so it is not something that people should assume is a "right" to perform on another, and those that do are presumptuous and insensitive.

If you feel that you are too much in a bubble however and want to be more accepting of others touching you, then it can be as simple as self talk to train your own mind not to react negatively when it happens. Visualize yourself over and over in a social setting where guys may touch you in some social (not sexual) way just as an expression of their friendship, and your liking it. Write about it on a piece of paper again and again in an effort to break through to your subconscious mind, similar to the way a teacher may make your write 100 times on the blackboard "I will not chew gum in class".

I would also say that if you get a boyfriend, there may be more touching involved in that relationship such that you will become more comfortable with other people touching you.

But you may also have something inside at a deeper level that is holding you back...something that can be found better by a mental health professional and that is beyond whatever pop-wisdom you may find here on the Yahoo! Answers response pages. I am not saying you are nuts or messed up mentally. But you may have had one or more bad experiences earlier in life which lies hidden in your conscious mind but goes into reaction mode when your personal space barrier is broken. I've know women with serious phobias of certain things that cropped up because they had been molested as a child by family or a trusted family friend. They had to go to years of counseling and were even on medication to help with their unexplained anxiety attacks that became debilitating in the woman's ability to get through simple everyday tasks like driving alone or riding in an elevator by themselves.

So what I am saying is that your preference to not let some people touch you may actually be more appropriate than what some rude guys try to make you believe if they chastise or tease you because you don't let them touch you. But there is also a balance you should strike between allowed and acceptable touching, no touching, and touching too much. If visualizing and then experimenting in real life with acceptable social touching doesn't work for you, then do consider talking it out with an adult or mental health professional -- not because you are mentally ill -- but because there may be something hidden which is holding you back. You want to get over it so reaching out for some help is fine too if you can't get this buggaboo out of your conscience on your own.
    OMG LOL.

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE !!

My friends are always like. "Omg. Why do you flinch so much when people poke you?"

Just give a little smile when they do that, to give off a friendly wave~

Lol, wow I sounded cheesy there. xDHow to be touchy-feely....how do i pop my bubble?
To get yourself used to it, do it yourself. Try to stand closer to people.

All you do is return the favor. They hug you, you hug back. They tickle you, you laugh. It's easy.
When people are touching you, or are too close just breathe and think, "hey, this is okay. I'm fine" And sooner or later you'll just get used to it.

Just smile(= Or however you want to react!

Just don't spazz out or anything.

GOODLUCK!(=How to be touchy-feely....how do i pop my bubble?

  • WHAT DOES "BUBBLE POP ELECTRIC" mean, from the song by gwen stefani?

please tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WHAT DOES "BUBBLE POP ELECTRIC" mean, from the song by gwen stefani?
I know!!!! I seen an interview with gwen on trl like in 2004 and she said that it was something Andre 3000's son said about his watch because you know how they wear those weird big watches? His then young son said "daddy, your watch looks like bubble pop electric!" So i guess they got it from there ;)

Do you think the real estate bubble will pop or just deflate?

    It will burst pretty bad.

The problem is that there are more and more people getting "interest - only" loans. You will NEVER build any equity in the house that way and your only going to have to make up the balance later on.

Plus, the price is getting to the point where it is unrealistic. With all the other costs associated with housing going up and the income of the average homeowner not going anywhere (and even down in some cases) and lack of any retirement nest eggs... things look really grim.

If the interest rates climb and deflation hits... the market will burst in a big way.Do you think the real estate bubble will pop or just deflate?
    pop
deflateDo you think the real estate bubble will pop or just deflate?
It goes up and down. There was a buying frenzy because interest rates were low. That is normal. When they go up, people will invest their money. When they go back down, people will make big purchases like homes and cars.
First you have to believe there is a bubble. I don't. If anything, prices will sag for a moment, then continue higher.Do you think the real estate bubble will pop or just deflate?
Bubbles burst because the good is overpriced. When the price drops, it starts a stampede for everyone to sell before the price drops further.
I think it will flucuate. I think there will be a gradual slowing. Then it will go back up.
It will be going down fast.

What can i do to make my bubbles not pop?

So my friend recently bought me a bubble wand and its awesome but i was just wondering if you could add anything the the mixture so that you can catch them on your finger and they wont pop. Please and Thank you! =%26gt;What can i do to make my bubbles not pop?
There is nothing that will make them really strong, but you can add glycerin to the mixture and that will make them a lot stronger than they are now.

You should be able to get glycerin from a drugstore, or if they don't carry it, ask the pharmacist who might stock it locally.

    Have fun!

Have coal stocks peaked? Is that bubble ready to pop too?

Are the energy price inflators just flocking to oil now? I mean the ones bidding up the prices of these things. Perhaps the remnants of capital they have to work with, can not only be focused on one thing? oil?Have coal stocks peaked? Is that bubble ready to pop too?
The previous two posters are both correct. Furthermore, I do expect a correction in the energy and commodity sector as a whole. The commodity and there corresponding stocks have all been up, some over 100%. If you look at the demand and supply for energy, I think there is rationale for the price of the commodity to continue to rise. But I think this short term blast off is premature and likely not to continue. As you can see from last week coal and steel, which are tied a little together, suffered quite a loss last week. That may have been the correction it needed or it may still be looming. I side with the latter. We will see a correction on both oil and coal before we can see steady growth again. And since the energy sector is the only winner in this bear market, I expect their final give and move down will signal we finally have hit a floor whereby we can expect a turn for the whole market.

Anyway, I think coal stocks out there are great buys long! As well as steel!Have coal stocks peaked? Is that bubble ready to pop too?
Have coal stocks peaked or is the ready to pop?

High prices for coal stocks are driven by coal prices. It is quite difficult to predict whether stocks are in a bubble or the exact turning point for a burst in a bubble. Rather the focus here is on the fundamental drivers on whether the increase in coal stocks, driven by high coal prices, is sustainable.

Speaking from an Asia-Pacific perspective, thermal coal has increased from US$50-60/t (FOB) to over $150/t and metallurgical coal has increased from US$120/t to $300/t.

Like most commodities, coal prices are a function of demand/supply.

For thermal coal, demand is expected to exceed supply in the short term with reversion to mean prices in the longer term.

The traditional suppliers of export coal are Australia, Indonesia, South Africa, Russia and South America (Brazil). Due to freight rates, these countries usually supply customers within their catchment area. Therefore Australia and Indonesia service the SE Asia market. South Africa and Russia services the European market etc.

For Australia and Indonesia, demand for coal has caused infrastructure bottlenecks where the rail and port are not sufficient to meet the volume demand. Work has commenced to address these concern but large scale projects are not expected to come online untill 2010-2012 (New port at Newcastle, Wiggins Island, Port Alma to name a few). The high prices have seen further development of new mines. Therefore in the short term supply will not meet demand but as these the bottlenecks are eliminated, supply should meet demand.

Demand for coal remains strong and will continual to be an important source of fuel even in a post carbon trading world. For example China and Vietnam, traditional exporter of coal have stop exporting and are now importing coal. Vietnam and China are one the fastest developing nation and new power stations are required to support this economic growth. All their domestic production of coal are used for domestic power. Their power stations require more coal than their natural production. Therefore demand will remain strong.

The confluences of demand exceeding supply support the high coal prices and high profitabilities of coal stocks. The increase profits have lead to a high valuation for coal companies. Therefore in the short term we expect these high coal prices, supported by strong profits, to continue until approximately 2012 when the imbalance between supply and demand is addressed.Have coal stocks peaked? Is that bubble ready to pop too?
Coal if anything is under priced. Burning coal to heat is not the only use for it. Coal is essential in the production of iron and steal .There's no slow down in that production. There is and will be increased us of clean burning coal technology. This is only going to increase its demand. Coal will be with us for a long time to come the more this technology comes into use. Coal - gotta love it!

What does it mean when a bubble pops up from the toolbar that says IP address problems?

It's not an actual pop up, it's one of the little icons down by the "network connections" icon.

Anyway, it keeps saying that there is an IP error.. Something about problems with another computer's IP address on the network.

I'd tell you exactly what it said except that it went away before I could type it out...What does it mean when a bubble pops up from the toolbar that says IP address problems?
Sounds like an IP conflict. Your computer and another on your network are trying to use the same IP address...a big no no in the network world. Do you set you address manually? Goto run, type cmd and when the command prompt comes up, type IPCONFIG /all. This will give you your address and it will tell you if it is DHCP or Static. Unless you have a specific purpose for having a static, then go to your network properties and set you IP back to DHCP, or find the other device that is using the same IP.

Why is my guinea pig breathing irregularly and making pop noises?

these "pop" noises kind of sound like a bubble popping. Im not sure how old she is, around a year, possibly younger, but no older. she looks like she's in pain, when she breathes, her belly area gets about twice it's size. is this just hiccups? or should i be concerned? i feed her well, she drinks fine, and i feed her assorted fruits and veggies - guinea pig approved! Why is my guinea pig breathing irregularly and making pop noises?
You need to get your guinea pig to an exotic vet asap as it does not have many hours left at this point, the stomach doing what it is doing has to do with her having trouble with her lungs and she need to be on antibiotics now, it can not wait. She has a very serious upper respiratory infection that has gone into the acute stage. Yes she is in pain and she needs vet intervention NOW it make it, so please go now do not wait, please. Guinea pigs get upper respiratory infections very easily this time of year, we really have to watch them closely, with all the weather changes it can be a bit hard on them. Why is my guinea pig breathing irregularly and making pop noises?
I would take her to a vet if you at all can. Other wise she may die of a URI, upper respiratory infection, irregular breathing is a sure sign of one. And they kill very quickly. http://www.guinealynx.info/uri.htmlWhy is my guinea pig breathing irregularly and making pop noises?
    i think its being crazy

My betta fish has a swollen white belly and it makes bubble but they pop. What is going on with my betta fish?

You might be over feeding him! Never feed a beta more then they can eat. If you feed him and there is food left floating on the top of the tank you are over feeding him. I would only feed him 4 times a week.

Hope This HelpedMy betta fish has a swollen white belly and it makes bubble but they pop. What is going on with my betta fish?
My friend had a betta fish once named Bennie and it had a huge stomach. We first thought it was pregnant, but it was a boy fish. The fish lived for about a few months, then it died. Her mom cut the stomach on the fish and discovered that it had a tumor. The fish was then disposed of. It might be the same thing or it might be a genetic defect. I reccommend reasearching the topic on the internet. I do not believe that there is anything you can do to solve the problem though. My betta fish has a swollen white belly and it makes bubble but they pop. What is going on with my betta fish?
probably its constipated. skip a few days not feeding it. and try giving it a broil peeled and skinned pea. and bubbles might be that its building a bubble nest.My betta fish has a swollen white belly and it makes bubble but they pop. What is going on with my betta fish?

How do I fix the bubble that pops up n says virtual memory low when i am on a game or page?

When I play games or am on a website for awhile, and it starts freezing up, a bubble pops up from lower right corner..says virtual memory low. Windows is increasing but u may lose all pages that r open, etc. How do i fix this? I have windows xp on my dell desktop. How do I fix the bubble that pops up n says virtual memory low when i am on a game or page?
Sounds like you're running out of RAM (memory that programs -run- on), and the virtual memory that is created on the hard drive to substitute this is also running out. You can increase what is called the paging size or paging file, but that's just a bandaid for not having enough RAM.

Edit: RAM is pretty cheap these days, especially for desktops :)How do I fix the bubble that pops up n says virtual memory low when i am on a game or page?
There's no quick fix to that issue than upgrading.

Get Windows 7 since it significantly improves RAM usage.

You need at least 2gigs of RAM to play games these days. So get yourself a new pair. :)

  • How did the bubble economy in japan pop?

does anybody know the reason why there was suddenly a deflation in japan in the 1990s (still continuing today) and why their economic 'boom' suddenly stopped?

oh..and what are bad loans? what did the banks do with those bad loans? How did the bubble economy in japan pop?
In 1984 the US was suffering from a huge trade imbalance and they forced/strongarmed the yen to revalue and the dolar to weaken to rescue the U.S's battered industrial base.

As Japans economy was strongly export based, this created a huge loss of production and income.

To overcome this sudden loss of income and jobs, the central bank cut interest rates, and encouraged the banking system to loan (print) lots of money.

Huge rises in asset prices then beget more rises, with no signs of inflation, and the bank only moved upwards in tiny steps for a long time. An asset lending bubble spiralled out of control. Rationally went out of the window.

In 1987 The US decided that the dollar has weakened far enough, and it reversed, gaining back some of its value. Higher real interest rates rollocked the worlds markets, and a recession followed.

In Japan what was called a balance sheet recession followed. This means that the banking system suddenly had a lot of bank debts, which had been spent on worthless junk which was valued as giving a real productive return.

These easy money/idioticy inspired balances gave no return and the debts against them could not be serviced.

With ever lower valued assets, many in the corporate and banking world were naturally focused on paying down the huge nonsense free money loans taken against them, to prevent from going bankrupt.

Productive capacity and investment projects shrank as firms tried to repair thier balance sheets. This created a credit deflation.

To solve this, Japan printed lots of money/injected lots of money into the economy through spending, raising the nominal income of firms, and bailing out the carrying cost of these debts by eroding thier true worth in relation to the money supply.

The reason the bubble popped was because the prices of assets were so high the slightest rise in real interest rates from the central bank would stop the mad expansion and firms had to reverse course, stop expanding, and cut back, sell assets, and have to pay off the mad loan amounts with real money.

The Japanese asset bubble reached insane heights! In 1991 The land under Tokyo鈥檚 Imperial Palace was valued at more than all the land in Florida. How did the bubble economy in japan pop?
they were close to deflating, but there was no prolonged period of deflation.

deflation causes the economy to enter a stand-still, cause prices for whatever you want to buy today will be better tomorrow.

They did however have to adopt a policy of 0% overnight interest rates in order to encourage borrowing funds, to stimulate the economy.

The problem was that too many companies were financed by loans from banks which they never repaid. Then once some companies started defaulting- everyone started defaulting. The economy declined and the banks were in a crisis. How did the bubble economy in japan pop?
It was a number of things that all came to a head about the end of 1990. Their stock market and real estate had both become outrageously overpriced and were in a precarious bubble. There was a network of unsound loans, banks were more apt to loan as favors or due to kairetsu relationships than do prudent due diligence, and government oversight only encouraged the bad practices.

The stock market bubble fed the problem, because a lot of corporations and banks owned stocks of other companies and real estate on their own balance sheets -- and in Japanese accounting they were allowed to claim the current values of those assets as book value, rather than the original purchase price (as Americans would do), and this in turn made their balance sheets look far more healthy than the actually were when those assets got wildly overpriced -- which in turn enabled them to take on more loans etc.

Not sure but I think the trigger for the meltdown was related to the Iraq invasion of Kuwait or the resulting 1st Gulf War and the resulting rise in oil prices. Once the stock market started melting down everything came down like a house of cards and the banking system became dysfunctional.

Is it ethical of me to pop my friend's happy religous bubble?

I am an atheist, and I was talking with a friend of mine about religion. He is kind of a simple person, but very happy and content, and I am a very persuasive person. I am afraid that if I start having a serious discussion with him about my lack of religion i might cast doubt on his belief or otherwise undermine his sense of contention. Sometimes I wish I was able to be simple and happy like him, and I wouldn't want to ruin it. I mean if makes him happy thinking that jesus loves him, who am I to dissuade him?Is it ethical of me to pop my friend's happy religous bubble?
Exactly my point..So many atheists are so incredibly determined to "prove" that God isn't real. Why? What is the point? As you said, if someone is happy and content believing that there is a higher power which they can turn to, then what's in it for you to try and confuse him about his beliefs?? Respect his beliefs just as he respects yours/or lack there of.
I say leave him to it (also a pretty convinced atheist). If he tries to shove it in your face drop him a few clues but really, if he's a simple person, it isn't doing anyone any harm, and it makes him happy... why ruin it? Only really have a problem with religion when it invades my personal space or causes people to do crazy and unjust things (including teaching their kids that science is the devil and attmepting to home-school them - yikes!), otherwise I think its something that does actually help people through things.

Jim.Is it ethical of me to pop my friend's happy religous bubble?
Debate and truth is always a good endeavor. Religiosity is a social cohesion thing. Understanding that religious attraction is social rather than factual is difficult for some. To change someone's perception from absolute factual to an understanding of social support and cohesion is a worthy endeavor. Of course if they understand religion as "truth" they will have difficulty in such a realization.
It has nothing to do with ethics, it does, however, it will also show your lack of the virtues of consideration and respect for those who are free to believe as they wish to believe (as governed by the Constitution).

(I love Jehovah God and Jesus, btw)Is it ethical of me to pop my friend's happy religous bubble?
He is your friend so you are to have to talk to him about it eventually. And i don't think he is happy he is ignorant. Better to know the truth even if it makes him not happy.
With the preponderance of evidence greatly in his favor, any intelligent discussion will lead to your belief in Christianity. It is he that should understand he will be popping your bubble of ignorance.
You overestimate both your intelligence and your power of persuasion.

Sadly, narcissists are profoundly treatment resistant.

    ~Dr. B.~
    1. if he truly believes jesus loves him, trust me, you won't be able to dissuade him. i know from personal experience, and i am FAR from a simple person.

    2. if he is happy and content, why would u want to do anything that would jeopardize his happiness? perhaps u are not happy and content, therefore you want him to come down to your level because watching him live a happy life is too much for you to bear (perhaps subconciously)

    3. go ahead and ask. if all your looking for is a serious conversation, then you have to be willing to hear his side, no matter how "simple" he may be, because otherwise you won't understand how he's so happy and you'll continue to think he's just a simple minded individual. (not saying he isn't, but not saying he is.) until you hear the reason for his devotion from HIS mouth, then you'll never understand, and you'll only rob yourself of knowledge that could perhaps help you in the future when dealing with other like-minded individuals as your friend.

    4. but don't do it if all your going to do is try to discredit everything he says. that doesn't get anything accomplished. if you do it, which i think you should, let him voice his opinion uninterrupted, and then you can do the same. and then its his turn. and then its yours. etc

What causes bubbles to pop in mid air?

If a bubble is floating what causes it to just suddenly pop in mid air. Doesn't it only pop when it hits something solid? What causes bubbles to pop in mid air?
It pops because at some point it gets a hole in it. That hole can be created by lots of things (think of a pin in a balloon.) It doesn't appear that the air has a pin in it, but it sort of might. Sometimes loose atoms (oxygen, carbon-dioxide, etc.) might be adhereing to the bubble to cause it to "dry out" and one spot and pop. If enough time goes by, gravity itself might weaken the bubble enough to cause it to pop. (The moisture is heavier than air, and would sink to the bottom of the bubble, leaving the top weaker and weaker until eventually it would have a hole in it.)

Most bubbles are popped by "dust" in the air. The dust is dry, and when it touches the bubble wall, it dries it out enough to suck moisture away from the wall. Thus, the "pin" is really just one of those little dust particles you see floating by in a shaft of sunlight.

The dust particle--while small--is "something solid."
Bubbles pop because the longer they exist the liquid that makes them up sinks to the bottom of the bubble and there for the tp slowly doesn't have any and once there isn't enough on the top it pulls aparts and pops. What causes bubbles to pop in mid air?
Gravity, as bubule is in the air, gravity cause the liquid around the buble to drop below and the skin on the top get thinner and burst, if you look close on bubbles, you will learn that the liquids are dropping from the buttom,
When a bubble floats into the air, it's volume will start to increase as the pressure within it pushes its thin liquid "casing" outwards. This results in it popping in mid air. What causes bubbles to pop in mid air?
The surface tension of the bubble is lost as it dries in mid air.

Gum stuck onto the car seat was probably it. It doesn't come off.
One time at a keg party, me and my best friend found a gallon of peach schnapps hidden in the weeds . We drank the whole entire bottle straight. I was chewing snappin' apple bubble gum and when I got home, I threw up flourescent green everywhere. It looked like something from the movie Alien. What's your worst bubble gum mess/pop?

  • Why does a just emptied Coke can make no noise, but a just emptied Sprite can makes bubble popping sounds?

I've noticed that when I drink a Coke the empty can is silent, but if I drink a Sprite the empty can makes little bubble popping sounds for a few minutes. Same holds for Pepsi vs Siera Mist. Carbonation level different? Something to do with caramel coloring or flavoring? Why does a just emptied Coke can make no noise, but a just emptied Sprite can makes bubble popping sounds?
It doesn't have to do with the flavoring, per se. The coke is more watered down with the various ingredients pumped into it, and Sprite is more simplistic compared to coke, and the carbonation is more predominant. The coke you had might have been a bit flat as well. Why does a just emptied Coke can make no noise, but a just emptied Sprite can makes bubble popping sounds?

I have blocked out so much of my life, this is tough. I remember a song by Three Dog Night called Old Fashioned Love Song. I remember it playing on the radio and my sister and I were with my Uncle Ben, and we were safe. I am not sure why we were with him, but he stopped at a gas station and bought us Hershey Chocolate bars, and they always make me think of him too.
Julie, Julie Julie, Do you love me by Bobby Sherman.

I know the lyrics by heart to this day and it's all because my sister had a crush on the guy. I remember it was the first of the flavors she liked.. Next came those crazy Bay City Rollers with keep on Dancin' and Saturday night.

You know looking back on the Monkees and the Bay City Rollers.

Young kids should be allowed to see their futures with over controlling managers that seek to kill them through their greed before the sign contracts on the dotted line.

Both groups had some talent but were never allowed to play their own music until it was far too late.

Knowing this is why I like the Moody Blues and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Early groups that fought against record establishments.

Just not a fan of forced music, as it should come and be played from the heart. What was your favourite "Bubble Gum" pop song from when you were a child?

You're checking up on us ageless folks, aren't ya! Ain't a darn thing wrong with that, in my book.

I don't know if this one qualifies as "bubblegum" pop, but that one by The Cowsills - Hair is as groovy as groovy gets.

But this one does! And it even rocks out:
